Orestiada is situated in the north-east of Greece in the region of EVROS near to the borders of Turkey and Bulgaria.

This is Orestiada (from Google earth).

The municipality of Orestiada is partner in the project CLAY. Orestiada was foundet in 1923 by the Greek-refugees under the leadership of Metropolite Polykarpos, you see his monument on the picture.

The municipality bus brought the CLAY-group to the whole region of Evros.

The sevage-plant of Orestiada is working perfect.





Panicos Athanasios and Roland Schneidt gave an interview to the local TV-station about the european CLAY-project.



Meeting in the municipality of Orestiada with different authorities and assistants of the administration. The guests from Italy, Cyprus and Germany gave little presents to the mayor.
